Historical Tour and Fundraiser
Come spend the weekend with Shirlee Draper and Lindsay Hansen Park who will lead a historical tour around Short Creek. We'll be visiting all the local pit stops of Short Creek that’ll cover our shared history and how we can best support our neighbors from polygamous backgrounds.

About the event
While Lindsay’s podcast, “Year of Polygamy” was a shelf-breaker for many in our post-LDS community, her widespread efforts to learn more about our polygamist origin story has helped bridge the relational gap for many mormon-affiliated sects living across the state of Utah. She will be helping lead an educational tour, weaving stories of our shared history. After all, we share the same origin story.
Shirlee, born and raised in Short Creek, is Director of Operations at Cherish Families, will be our main lead and tour guide for the weekend. All proceeds from this weekend visit will go to Cherish Families, an organization created to help polygamist families move from crises to thriving by offering housing and basic needs, mental health resources, legal counsel, and family and peer support.

This ticket is for a single twin bed in a shared bedroom. Please review the map and let us know if you have requests to sleep in a specific room and also if you have friends or family who you'd like to join you. Rooms will be first come, first serve.

We want everyone to join us. For the simplicity of booking shared rooms, men and couples are welcome to join us for the programming with private sleeping accommodations. There are nearby hotels and airbnbs that can be shared and/or rented. We would love to provide you with some options after RSVP'ing. This ticket is for programming only.
