Forest Bathing Walk in Memory Grove
It seems like a common thread we share as we leave church is an increased desire to connect with nature and the land we inhabit. To help facilitate this, we've invited Naomi Watkins, @drnaomz, certified forest therapy guide, to lead us deepening this connection.

About the event
Through a series of carefully crafted invitations, Naomi will invite us to slow down, awaken our senses, and connect with the natural world through a guided forest bathing experience in Memory Grove Park, an oasis near downtown Salt Lake City. This walk is slow-paced and covers less than a mile on an ADA-accessible, paved path. No experience necessary – just an open heart and willingness to connect!
Whether you’re looking to quiet your mind, connect to the land, restore your relationship with yourself, partner with nature for guidance, or something else, forest bathing is accessible to everyone as it is a slow, mindful way of walking and connecting with nature. Walks conclude with a service of non-caffeinated herbal tea.
As a growing global wellness movement, forest bathing is backed by nearly 40 years of scientific research on the holistic benefits of immersing yourself in nature. These benefits include:
Reduced stress and blood pressure
Increased creativity and focus
Improved mood and sleep
Boost to immune functions
Nature can also act as a guide and teacher for facing and handling life challenges and grief – generational, systemic, ecological, and personal. Many participants express that forest bathing supports them in emotional healing and wellbeing.
Due to the nature of this event, it is limited to 20 participants and is open to all adults. No pets or children. Please arrive 10 minutes early. More information will be sent out prior to the event.
Please go to the link in bio to register.
